Bio In Loving Memory . . . I must first take a moment to explain the current theme of my LJ. Michael Jackson's recent and untimely death affected me very deeply; for reasons I am still struggling to come to terms with. His music has been a large part of my life and such themes like those expressed in songs like "Black or White" and "Heal the World" have largely informed my world-view. And while my absolute love for MJ dwindled as I grew up and my music tastes expanded to allow for other artists and styles, his art was never too far from the edge of our collective cultural consciousness. And though I was never privileged with the opportunity to meet him, I always felt very close to him and hoped that one day I would get to tell him all the ways he had inspired me. That was not to be, however, and now that Michael's gone this small tribute (my layout) is for him. Michael? I love you more. Historian by Day About me huh? As the title suggests, I am a historian by day. I received my BA in US History and (as of May 2009) received my MA. I am primarily interested in political and military history, specializing in 18th Century America and the American Revolution. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and am 24. Originally, I only got a LiveJournal because a friend pressured me into it. But now? I'm really glad she did. :) Fangirl by Night Apart from history (maybe even more so than history) I am, as so many, a devout fangirl. You can find many of my interests below. To express my fangirl joy I have been known to write fan fiction, make fanart, and even edit music vids. My artistic endeavors will always (eventually) be posted on my LJ for your viewing pleasure.
